Dr. Aishwarya Pillai grew up moving all around the country - from Connecticut to Montana - as her physician parents trained in their respective specialties. She settled in Franklin, TN for the majority of her childhood, and she is proud to call this city home. She remembers seeing Optique Franklin in the Square in her youth and saying, "I am going to work here one day!"

Determined to pursue her dream, she graduated from the Ohio State University College of Optometry and completed a residency focused on treating diseases of the eyes at the Columbus, OH Veterans Hospital. She is among the top-trained professionals in treating conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, as well as managing systemic conditions affecting eye health, like diabetes and high blood pressure. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and rescue dog Rizzo, cooking new recipes, and traveling.
